About Us
Not Forgotten Preservation is the result of a journey that began long before we ever imagined ourselves working in cemeteries. Mark and I (Karaline) started our first creative venture back in 2004, carving decorative glass and stone under the name MavTistic Glass and Stone. Over the years, we completed countless custom projects, each one deepening our respect for the materials we worked with and the stories they carried.
Alongside our carving work, we began taking headstone preservation classes on and off throughout the years. At first, it was simply another way to expand our skills and care for our own ancestors’ monuments. But everything changed when we started visiting cemeteries more regularly. The more we walked those grounds, the more we saw the same heartbreaking pattern: leaning stones, broken markers, names fading into the earth, and legacies slowly disappearing.
That’s when our passion truly took root.
We realized that preservation wasn’t just a craft — it was a responsibility. These stones represent lives, families, and histories that deserve to be honored. Caring for them became more than a skill we practiced; it became a mission we felt called to.
Today, Not Forgotten Preservation is dedicated to ethical, non‑invasive headstone cleaning, restoration, and preservation. Every project we take on is approached with respect, patience, and the same commitment to craftsmanship that began with our very first carvings in 2004.
We believe every ancestor deserves to be remembered, every story deserves to be protected, and every family deserves the peace of knowing their loved one’s legacy will not be forgotten.

Our Approach
At Not Forgotten Preservation, we take a holistic approach to preservation. We believe that it's not enough to simply restore a building or catalog artifacts - we must also educate the public about the importance of preserving history.
